South Island Earthquake

Our thoughts go out to family, friends and residents of Christchurch in their time of need after such a devastating disaster.

Our thanks also to the many messages of support received from our "hockey" friends from all parts of the globe who have emailed over the last 36 hours once New Zealand's tradgedy was broadcast worldwide.

We have word that our "hockey friends" are safe, but some have sustained structural damage to their homes and still currenlty without utilities. Communication is still difficult, but text and facebook communication has been possible with some to determine their safety.

A very sad time for Canterbury and New Zealand, with continuing aftershocks and search and rescue teams from New Zealand and other countries working hard to help those affected.
