As a sport with a small volunteer base, we realised that we must focus our resources both financially and manpower wise to a set of activities and events that we can do and do well. This required us to really focus on our goals and make sure that any program or event that we proposed supported our goals. We also had to be honest in what we could achieve in the short and long term. Unfortunately, not everything that was proposed could be done but by taking a realistic approach to the resources we have available we hope to be able to meet our goals and then build on them over time.
This document is provided to our members in response to one of our key short-term goals “to improve communication with our members”. It highlights, in one place, for everyone what our goals are both short and long term. It also outlines the key initiatives that we will be working on to attract, retain and develop our players. Finally, it provides details on all the IHNZ events that we manage and sanction each year.
