COVID-19 Update #10

With the resumption of the 2020 Inline hockey season about to start, IHNZ would like to clarify the following.

Nationals:
Due to Covid-19, the board has decided to remove the regional qualification for entry to Nationals for the 2020 season. Each club will be able to field one team per grade this year.

Many regions have indicated they will still run a regional league where possible to facilitate as much hockey as circumstances allow for their clubs. All contact tracing and public hygiene/sanitation requirements must continue as per government requirements for the safety of all.

The intention is to hold our 25th Nationals celebration this year in New Plymouth from Saturday 26 September to Thursday 8 October inclusive. Grades and schedules have yet to be finalised.

If in the case of Nationals 2020 being cancelled, the 25th celebrations will be held over to 2021.

Inter Regionals:
These have been scheduled for Kerikeri ( Northern Region) over Labour Weekend.

Event Notices are currently being updated and will be distributed shortly. We will have more information to follow as we begin to plan for these 2 events.
